■ Containerized Cargo
We have extensive experience in dealing with import and export containers, Transnet procedures, packing and unpacking of containers, empty depot procedures as well as warehouse operations. We currently deal with multiple commodities such as paper, raw tobacco, electronics, chrome, zinc, vehicles, and machinery.
■ Break Bulk
All our vehicles are coupled with tri-axle flat-bed trailers, making them ideally suited for break bulk work. We have worked on numerous vessels offloading and transporting rice, sugar, steel as well as fertilizer.
■ Reefer Cargo
Refrigerated cargo, especially citrus, is seasonal. We focus heavily on this commodity during the winter months and have a lot of experience with cold store procedures. The most common cold cargo that we deal with is meat, citrus (oranges, lemons, and grapefruit) as well as fish.
■ Remover of Goods in Bond
Spartan Freight is fully certified by SARS to carry cargo too or from any bonded store in South Africa. This accreditation is extremely important to any warehouse that has a bond store.
■ Import and Export Facilitation
Spartan Freight is also fully accredited with SARS (Customs and Excise) as an Importer and Exporter. We are thereby fully equipped to provide a turnkey solution from door to door with any cargo that requires shipping and transport. We hold direct accounts with all the major shipping lines are can therefore book containers, arrange sea-freight, facilitate clearing and forwarding as well as provide the land-based transport.
■ Project Cargo
Our vehicles are equipped with chains and load binders as well as straps and ratchets, as we have completed numerous projects with specialized cargo for Sappi, Sapref as well as Johnson Cranes. Our vehicles are however limited to cargo that is in-gauge, meaning that we currently are not equipped to provide transport for abnormal loads
